At Lighthouse, we believe God wants to invade all of our life - to flavor our entire human experience with his truth, love, and grace. Jesus said, "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." We seek to provide various fellowship and outreach activities to grow and encourage one another, and to reach out to our community to share God's love in a practical way. Check out the following events...
Hosted by Samaritan's Purse, Operation Christmas Child is a great way to Show God's love in a Practical way to children around the world. Pick up a shoe box at church, and fill it from the list provided, and the gifts will be shipped off to provide a wonderful Christmas surprise for children in need of the hope and Joy that God brings. Deadline is Sunday, Nov. 10th, so get your boxes filled!
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 1st - after Church
The question we encourage is:
"What Percentage of my income do I believe God wants me to give next year?"
As we've always said, it's NOT a money thing; it's a heart thing. We cap off the series with a celebration luncheon after church on "Consecration Sunday" where we dedicate (or "consecrate") our pledges to the Lord in faith. This is based upon the conviction that God is a generous giver, and we are made in His image to also be generous givers.
"...God loves it when the giver delights in the giving."
(2 Cor 9:6-7)
Thank you Lighthouse Christian Fellowship for your generosity in providing over 517 items to help re-stock the Sandwich Food Bank. This helps people in need in a very real way - a way that "shows God's love in a practical way!"
Join us at:
Jeff & Sheila Miele's, 108 Lyndsey Way, Sandwixch MA.
Skip the traffic and head over to the Miele's for a great time of food, fellowship, and laughter. Come over after church and stay until 3pm.. or later if you like!
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 7th, 6:30pm
This was our 19th year joining in the celebration as the Sandwich Chamber of Commerce hosted an annual Christmas Carol Sing on Main Street in Sandwich. We all met outside the big white First
Church on Main Street and Rte 130 at 6:15pm to help hand out hot chocolate. This
was a great way to show God’s love in a practical way to our community.
Angel Tree is a Prison Fellowship program that
gives parents behind bars a way to restore and strengthen relationships with
their children through a tangible experience of God’s love—especially at
Christmas. Participants took an angel ornament from our tree and purchase
a Christmas gift delivered in the name of their parent who is currently
incarcerated. This is a great way to show God’s love in a very practical way.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 10TH, 6-8PM
