Rev. Dr. Michael S. Allen and his wife, Annemarie, have been married for 33 years. They met each other as friends in college and found a personal relationship with Jesus at that same time. They both found Christ through the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, as Mike played college football at East Central Oklahoma University in Ada, OK. Since college, Mike has served on staff with Young Life, as a high school football coach in Kansas, assistant pastor and youth pastor at churches in Oklahoma, youth pastor at Grace Chapel in Lexington, MA. Mike also served as a speaker and worship leader at various camps and conferences, and now as a pastor on Cape Cod. Mike and Annemarie moved to the Cape with the express desire to plant a church for people who don't go to church. They have four children; Jacob (& his wife Chelsey - with amazing granddaughter Sophia and grandson William!), Seth, Sarah (& her husband Jake Prescott), and Hannah. Mike has studied at Fuller Theological Seminary, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and received his Masters in Divinity at Seminary of the East. He was ordained in 1996. Mike earned his Doctorate (D.Min.) in preaching at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in 2017.
Pastor Mike Allen sensed a strong desire to plant an energetic and dynamic ministry on the Cape because of its growing population and family connections here. He moved his family from a church in the Boston area to Sandwich. A launch team was formed and began to pray through God's leading to be a church that specifically targets people who do not go to church. We continue to brainstorm ways to express God's love in real-life ways so that people can genuinely experience the unconditional love of God and the compelling good news of forgiveness and a brand new way of living life as God intended. As stated in our core values, Music should be fun and inspiring, preaching should be truth that makes sense, children should be well-loved with top-notch programming, and we want to do "whatever it takes" to share God's wonderful love with you, our fellow neighbors in this adventure called life. We hope to share not only the news of Jesus' love, but our lives as well.
Mike and Annemarie desire to befriend folks and “love them into the Kingdom”. It is through relationship that Christ is best expressed. And we desire to help others become the kinds of friends to folks all across the Cape to know God’s love in real, practical ways. This experience in ministry, coaching, and parenting bring a diversity of perspective and a strong desire to see Christ served in ALL of life!
We believe God is a 24:7 deal for the rest of our lives. We invite you to join the greatest adventure of all - Jesus the King!
